We have implemented Action I in the project
International training and learning action for partners in Germany.
The first partners’ meeting took place from 18.01 – 21.01.2024. The meeting was organised by FAV Service.
The OTN was represented by our members Dr Andrzej Borusiewicz Prof. MANS, Marek Mielnicki M.Sc., and Cezary Pilicki M.Sc.
The aim of the meeting was:
– learning about ways to increase the attractiveness of the professions of the future and the importance of VET education in the Land of Thuringia in the context of EU challenges,
– creating a forum for cooperation and exchange of innovative practices and experiences on how to target and adapt VET, good practices in terms of digital and energy transition, and integrating the solutions learned into everyday practice,
– Mutual learning of cross-sectoral cooperation increases the link between the education and employment phases.
During the meeting, the FAV representative discussed:
– approaches, using the example of the Land of Thuringia (D), to provide specialists in the IT and electrical professions with specific skills as a prerequisite for realising the digital and energy transition,
– how to enhance the attractiveness of VET education at ISCED 3-4 level in the context of EU policy needs,
– how to plan for the needs of VET (D) education in the IT and electrical professions,
– how to include people with fewer opportunities in VET education,
– FAV’s good practices in targeting and preparing members for the digital and energy transition.
At the end of the meeting, the partners shared their comments on the solutions they had learned and how they could be used and developed in their practice. The partners also developed an initial version of the intellectual work result, which FAV experts will further develop.
The partners agreed that the second meeting in Thessaloniki will occur from 07-10.06.2024. EPKA Greece will host the meeting.
The meeting allowed the partners to get to know each other, establish relationships, and reign in further joint activities.
