Cooperation Partnerships (KA210-VET) Small-Scale Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training
News
We have completed Action I
Teams of experts from UZW Łomża, PL, EPKA Thessaloniki, GR, and SUR Nitra, SK, met in Nitra from November 3 to 8, 2025
UZW representatives discussed the rules for implementing the project, focusing on content and management.
Experts from Thessaloniki and Łomża learned about Slovak solutions, taking into account the experience of the SUR University of the Third Age in supporting the activities of senior citizens. Slovak experts presented the specifics and activities of the SUR UTA. They discussed specific examples of activities that can serve as examples and good practices.
The experts discussed and developed a preliminary version of the partial result of the intellectual work.
During the meeting, the experts also planned another partner meeting, this time in Greece, on training and learning for partners.
We are planning Activity I in the project
International action concerning the training and learning of partners in Slovakia
The first partner meeting will take place from November 3 to 8, 2025. The University of the Third Age of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra organises the meeting.
The meeting will aim to learn about:
a) Slovak methods of:
– activating seniors – permanent and occasional forms used, their objectives, methods of engaging in volunteering,
– creating cooperation between senior citizens’ organisations and their social, professional, school/educational, and environmental surroundings,
– sharing and exchanging experiences by seniors within and outside the organisation (who is the recipient, what forms exist).
The partners will discuss the identification of elements of the work of senior citizens’ organisations in Slovakia and their individual activities in the context of sharing and exchanging experiences in the area of involving senior citizens in voluntary activities.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of UZW in Łomża (PL), EPKA Thessaloniki (GR), and UTW SUR in Nitra (SK).
EPKA is a partner in the project “PARTNERSHIP FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SENIOR ACTIVITIES – ACTIVE AGEING THROUGH SENIOR VOLUNTEERING”.
We are pleased to announce that EPKA is expanding its European dimension and has entered into a partnership in the project entitled ” PARTNERSHIP FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SENIOR ACTIVITIES – ACTIVE AGEING THROUGH SENIOR VOLUNTEERING“, co-financed by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Partnerships for Cooperation programme (KA210 ADU), Small-scale partnerships in the adult education sector.

Why are we implementing the project
The international partnership aims to exchange experiences and good practices, create conditions, and develop tools to maintain the Activity of seniors, members, and recipients of services/offers from partners, and reverse the role of seniors from “consumers” to “contributors”. It addresses the challenge of maintaining the Activity of seniors in line with the concept of active ageing.
Project objectives:
• to develop the result of intellectual work with an innovative programme (1 set) for adult education and building the creativity of seniors in their new role as volunteers,
• to increase the competence of 3 partners to increase the Activity of seniors through volunteering and sharing their competences,
• using international experience to prepare 60 seniors to become volunteers through training in accordance with the developed Tool.
• Improving the competences of 85 UTWs and organisations supporting seniors by sharing the Tool and project experiences as good practice.
What we want to achieve through this project:
To learn about solutions and exchange knowledge between partners on:
– combining activities and issues of cooperation with the environment in working with seniors as volunteers,
– examples and good practices in the project area,
– cooperation between senior citizens’ organisations and the community: own initiatives, permanent and occasional collaboration with the younger generation, exchange and sharing with the community (organisations/associations, clubs, public and non-governmental centres, stakeholders) to increase the attractiveness and activation of senior citizens,
– use of seniors’ life, professional, mentoring, hobby, and other experiences in peer, intergenerational, community, and other relationships,
– mutual understanding, including interpersonal understanding, as a basis for planning and developing joint projects leading to improvements and new approaches in the activation of seniors,
– building the capacity of Partners to develop international cooperation,
– comparing and evaluating known solutions and good practices in the context of adaptation, developing an educational programme, and applying it in one’s own practice.
– developing partial results and the final result of intellectual work.
Source of funding
The European Union co-finances the project.
