EmpowerHer LTTA meeting in Vienna

Partners met in Vienna from 1st to 5th September 2025 for the Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA) of the EmpowerHer: Enhancing Refugee Women’s Skills for the Hospitality Sector project. Three of our trainers actively participated alongside the other partners, aiming to empower refugee women in the hospitality sector.

What We Did at the LTTA

• 📌 Toolkit Presentation: Tools and methodologies to support refugee women.
• 📌 New Language Curriculum: Designed for the hospitality sector, tailored to the needs of the labor market.
• 📌 Digital Skills & VR Tools: Realistic training environments for scenarios in the tourism sector.

VR for Tourism Skills

Participants wore VR headsets and practiced essential skills for their professional development, boosting their confidence at the same time. The VR environments provided safe, interactive, and innovative learning, creating significant educational benefits for refugee women.

Collaboration & Innovation

During the LTTA:

• We collaborated on presenting the Toolkit and implementing the language curriculum.
• We explored the potential of technology in adult education.
• Group activities and discussions opened new pathways for strengthening skills in the hospitality sector.

Partners Meeting & Next Steps

On 4th–5th September 2025, the partners’ meeting took place, where:

• Project progress was evaluated.
• Next steps were planned.
• Cooperation was strengthened for the successful implementation of EmpowerHer.

Our Goal: To enhance the skills and opportunities of refugee women in the hospitality sector.
